In Italy, some guys are going around with similar rosaries on their necks. But I guess theirs don't come from the Pope, but are just a fashion-must.

Because if you compare all the pics posted here, well, then in some of them the rosary is long on in others (like the b/w one) it is short, so 2 different types if you ask me
