I still can't believe what I just heard - Bono sang "Miss Sarajevo" at the last of the Amsterdam concerts last night and he sounded so BEAUTIFUL!

He sang the whole song - including Pavarotti's part!

Close your eyes and REALLY LISTEN to the emotions in Bono's voice.

It's amazing....

just like Bono.

:bono:

Bono sounds amazing -- and i think he even remembered the words! very special performance, who would have thought that Miss Sarajevo of all songs would be back! this is just fuckin great

it sounded really really amazing! i was there and at first i couldn't even believe what was going on. he didn't get his guitar like he normally does when running comes on and i didn't even realize it was miss sarajevo till he started singing. the opera part was really great as well. he had been in a good mood all day long already anyway. he didn't really remember the words though, they were written on a piece of paper, which was placed on the stage..

Thanks, kelly, for those amazing pics from last night.

U2log.com also has a GREAT review of the show.

When Bono started to sing Pavarotti's part, I honestly thought of Bob Hewson.

Maybe what Bono says is true - maybe the gift Bono's father left Bono when he departed the earth was his (Mr. Hewson's) voice.

It certainly sounded so last night.

There are also discussion of this in the U2 Vertigo tour Audio/Video section.

Just AMAZING....
