Wow! Congrats bonomofo and Arun. I'm so glad you both had such a wonderful experience. I can only hope I get that lucky next week in Glendale....please God.

Photos/clips San Jose #1 pre-show

Hi there...I got there at 3pm and waited until Bono came out and signed/ met the crowd. It was a blast and I took a lot of pics and clips.

We knew things were starting off right when the U2 jet flew over! U2 soon arrived and went inside, w/Bono saying he would be out in about an hour..

Bono stayed true to his word and came on out. It was wild- but a lot of fun and Bono was very methodical moving down the line. I was able to get Bono to sign a tour ad that I put on paper board. A friend got a photo signed for me from the Fairmont last October (Ipod)- (Bono and I)...And a 3rd friend had 2 things signed by Bono so she gave me the Vertigo cd slip...!

Here are various clips and shots..I have more but this is a good sample of what occurred.....and congrats to ALLI at the show who danced yet again w/Bono- and a great job at that she did!

These are all fantastic stories. It's all this stuff that I LOVE about being a U2 fan, (not the nitpicking about setlists and shit), the stuff that makes you go gooey, :heart: I'm so happy for you all.

(as for taking photos of U2's plane and Bono's shoes, I am proud to say that we U2 fans are again the only people who would do that and Bret6262, if I had been there I would have done exactly the same thing! :sigh: )

Thank you so much for being such a great fan. You did exactly what I hope to do one day. Last month I lost my best friend. I don't think your ever ready to loose someone you love. Its been the hardest time in my life, but that song has really helped me remember that I'm not alone in my pain and also all the great things my friend did for me. I would love a moment with Bono to tell him from my heart thanks for the many years of music that has helped me thru many hard times. Heck, now if it never happens at least I know that other fans have let him now how much we appreciate the song.

Thank you, the important thing to realize here is that if I am a good fan it's because so many others ( many on this forum) have sent a wonderful example for me to follow.

Hope you had a good flight and made it safely. I can't wait to read your post. Its great to know there are so many good fans on this board, definetly some good examples to live by. But I'm sure your not to shabby yourself. ;)

sure you can do whatever you like w/the shots.....since the filter on here is killing the clips email me at Bret6262@aol.com and request which clip(s) you want- i.e. Iris dancing, pre-show 1, live nite 2 (OOTS, etc!) and I will send acordingly...if you have a hotmail address it always kicks it back....

Crap! I feel like such a heel!

I never thought to try and find you that day! :(


I was waiting for the band, but I was also afraid of losing my spot in line, so I left. The girl who had Bono draw her a picture was standing right next to me.

I had a friend of mine ask Bono to sign my license plate. He did. I wish I could have been there, but that's OK. I'll meet him some day. And when I do, I just want to say thank you to him. :)

Are you going to any other shows?
