Here is my pic of Bono hugging the flag in Atlanta. I was standing next to the guy whose flag he took. I think it came out cool because of the weird lights.

Hey, when i went to the St.Louis show a few weeks ago Bono picked a flag up from somebody in the audience and he slow danced with the flag for the rest of the song! I need to go find some pics of this...**frantically goes to the web address box nd types www.google.com...oh c'mon load faster LOAD FASTER!!!!**

Now- is he sincere? I think he is. If he weren't he wouldn't even bother. If he hated America and all it stands for he would not even make a gesture with the flag. Sure it may have become part of the 'act' but so what? When he bent down and took the guy's flag, when he hugged it, and when he bent back down, glowing with light and handed it back, it was AWESOME! His face looked so sad and sympathetic and emotional. He was right up in the guy's face, and mine too since I was next to him! The guy extended his hand and Bono took it and held it and shook it! I wish I had stuck my hand out too! After he made another lap, he put his hands together as in prayer, bowed in front of the guy and mouthed 'thank you!' The guy yelled out "Thank you Bono!" It was an incredible moment, I don't care what anyone who knocks this gesture says.

For SHAME Bono!

You who were there must know that he took off his shades at the end of UTEOTW, and that DURING UTEOTW he had problems with a certain floozie who refused to detach herself from him until she was drug upon the stage, her tube top drooping low. Because of this, the bullfight did not happen which sucked. I HATE HER!! Crzy didn't you say it happened near you and he was mad? GGGRRR, so now to see he is elevated and to know it was because of that uh, person, makes me furious!

Beautiful pics! I believe he is very sincere and hugging the flag was a cute and darling thing to do. If fans didn't hold one up he wouldn't be able to put it in the act. I think once people knew he held the flag the first time, they started bringing them and he didn't let them down. It was a nice thing to do. I love it!
