Bono Designs Guitar For Children's Charity

Bono designs guitar for children's charity and you

A guitar designed by Bono is to be auctioned off in aid of a children's charity.



The U2 singer provides a centrepiece for the new Born to Rock exhibition at Harrods in London, which celebrates the history and
influence of the electric guitar.



A host of big names have customised guitars for the project, and
Bono's features images from his children's book "Peter and the Wolf,"
published in aid of the Irish Children's Hospice.


The guitar will be auctioned in aid of the charity.



The centrepiece of a season called Harrods Rocks, the Born to Rock
Exhibition features rare models including the first known electric
guitar known as the "Frying Pan," as well as models plated by legends
like Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters, and newer bands like Oasis and
Kasabian.


Other names customising guitars include Graham Coxon and Bryan Adams.

I'm hoping that someone who lives in and/or visits London will be able to either take a pic of Bono's guitar once the exhibit opens or at least describe it to us so that we have an idea what it looks like.


With Bono's vivid imagination, one can only imagine what he would come up with.

The guitars were showing in Dublin at the National Museum of Ireland- Decorative Arts under the header 'Rockchic' for a few months.

A really great exhibit, with some mindblowing vintage pieces. The customised guitars were pretty cool as well.

Here is one of the many I took Of Bono's guitar today, it is in the "Born to Rock Exhibition" that was at Harrod's til today. Didn't even know the exhibition was on which is a bonus!

And as another Bonus, they had the Edge's one there too!
