Bono at the Cannes film festival, may 26 2006

I love the purple shirt! In the darker pics, you can't see like you can in brighter ones and on the news that his head looks like somebody's dying lawn, a bunch of broken off stubble and bald spots. He seriously needs to grow it out at least enough to cover his scalp. I don't mind short, combed back hair but this weedwacker look is very unattractive. Growit or put a hat on, please. Edge looks very good, very healthy, and his eyes are gorgeous!

I read somewhere that the average amount of sleep he gets is 4 hours. I am near dead on 4 hours of sleep.

I totally know what you mean. I'm not a big fan of the short look but I was thinking the other day that he already has the short hair going on top how cool it would be if he would grow that out a little bit more and then do some kind of new wave modern mullet type of thing! How awesome would it be to really shake the look up totally different from what he's been doing!

err... may I remind you again of the statistics?
how many long haired threads were there when Bono cut his hair?
and how many short hair threads are there?

yes, that is three times as many!
so if Bono can do a little math, wich he obviously can since he studied economics for a while at harvard.... he should keep the short hair!

I couldn't agree with you more! Even if Bono was to let it grow out to the even to length it was at the release of ATYCLB, his hair would look better than it does now!!
"Weedwacker Look" gotta remember that one!!

Yes, I do see short hair, because he had short hair when he was at THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL. The subject of the thread, however, is/was Bono at the Cannes Film Festival, not Bono's Short Hair at the Cannes Film Festival.

The annual Monaco Grand Prix Ball turned even grander just before midnight on Saturday when surprise guest Bono popped in to join the event's ball host Wyclef Jean for an impassioned duet of "Redemption Song."

Bono, who earlier in the day had sung on Formula One boss Flavio Briatore's yacht, Force Blue, arrived without warning, and with Jay Z in tow.

Jay Z, dressed in a white suit, kept silent during the performance, and within 10 minutes he and Bono were gone from the Salon des Etoiles, leaving thrilled partygoers to check out the photos on their digital cameras in disbelief.

To catch the big show, timing meant everything. "I missed Bono," mourned Kate Bosworth, another surprise guest who arrived about 20 minutes too late. Appearing with her new Superman costar Kevin Spacey, Bosworth told PEOPLE: "I wanted to come and be here earlier but I've just been working and working, mostly."

The Grand Prix Ball raised more than $1 million for Jean's charity, Yele Haiti, which promotes development in Jean's native country. Jean teared up as he spoke about Haiti, then joked to PEOPLE: "Just because I cried doesn't mean I'm going to be soft in the auction."

Some of the auction items fetched higher prices thanks to guest Petra Nemcova, who offered to pose with the winner of the Tahitian black pearl necklace worn by Jean pal Angelina Jolie when she received a humanitarian award from the U.N. in October 2005 (winning bid: $92,815).

sounds to me that Kate Bosworth missed him by twenty minutes. Bono was only there for a total of 10 minutes at the event.
