In Ghana, Bono remarked that "uncertainty" of the future of the African growth and opputtuniy act (Agoa) which gives developing countries preferred access to the US market was hanging "like a Sword of Damocles" over the head of African countriees.

Earlier in the day, the world famous rockstar met Ghanian businessmen to better understand constraints on businesses. "People need aid because poverty is rampant but also more importantly for everyone is the need for trade, " he told his audience. "Africa should be able to create an alternative to the sort of Chinese domination of the apparel sector!" The singer was visibly passionate as he spoke.

being the one who started the thread, thanks to everyone who posted. this thread was just beautiful. The people from africa shown here were beautiful. The children's pictures especially were beautiful. And Bono is just a beautiful human being.

i loved every minute i spend here and plan on revisiting often.
