I know it LOOKS like the same link as was given before, but this link is the the actual organization in South Africa that will benefit from the sale of Bono's red lunchbox and the others.

Check out not the ebay auction site but the site of the org that will benefit from this money:

From a press story:http://www.eitb24.com/noticia_en.php?id=96845
Bono and Edge lunchbox have already been sold  I like how Edge's was a "conceptual" design :giggle:
A red lunchbox signed by rock star Bono raised 20-thousands dollars for hunger-relief organisations in New York, on Thursday evening.

The item was one of a hundred celebrity-designed lunch boxes auctioned to benefit The Food Bank for New York City and The Lunchbox Fund that helps children in South Africa.

U2's frontman arrived with singer Alicia Keys and watch the auction of several lunch boxes raise 51 thousand dollars. The remaining items will be sold on e-Bay starting Friday 14 October at 2100 EST. (0100 GMT Saturday).

Bono's band mate The Edge created a "conceptual" design for his lunch box. Michael Stipe, lead singer R.E.M, designed a reusable lunchbox. He stressed the importance of this cause and talked about how he witnessed hunger in South Africa.

I like how you can see fingerprints and smudges on Edge's box under the nails.

...And that picture of Anton's cracks me up. Bono's in super creepy mode.

This story ends "The lunchboxes will be offered for auction online in lots of ten to twenty at a time at www.thelunchboxauction.org. The auction will last for a period of ten days for each lot and is likely to run through December. Each lunchbox is signed and numbered by its designer."

....If they are numbered, then there could be more than one of each design??? Fingers crossed to see more listed over the next month or two!
