I too am from the good ol' midwest...

Central Illinois, to be exact. But my parents live in Lake County, IL about 10 minutes away from the WI border. I've been to WI so many times...

And I'll affirm one thing... I'll take Wisconsin over Missouri ANY DAY. (No offense to Missouri-ers here... The part of Missouri I was in was about as exciting as watching paint dry.)

Anyway... great to hear from ya!

Foadie, I'm from Kenosha, which is on the lake, right on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois. It's about 45 min south of Milwaukee and an hour and a half (or an hour if my dad is driving) north of Chicago.

I'm so glad you had such a lovely time in WI. Come back again sometime, ya hear?

Hallelujah- I've heard of Kenosha! Never been there though. Milwaukee (Algonquin for "the good land") is very cool! You
could fit about 10,000 inside of NYC.

You don't know how funny it is for me to see "I've heard of Kenosha" somewhere. Hee hee! I mean, I know it's not a tiny little town in Maine or something, but it's still weird to me. Anyway! I, too, am from Kenosha. I'm actually in Kenosha at this very moment, although I'll be back in Madison at the start of August.

I'm glad you had a good time, Foadie. I visited NYC this summer and liked it very much.
