I do not need a translation now...but I always wondered if the Italians use Ciao or Arrivederci when saying good bye. Do you know which is used more?

well, we use Ciao both when meeting and when saying good bye, arrivederci only when saying good bye. We use ciao in informal situations (friends, family and sometimes when you meet someone your age), we use arrivederci in formal situations (teachers, older people).
