To make a long long long long story considerably shorter and less annoying for the general public, I'll just say that someone who has been very important to me and the first person I ever loved..... well basically the whole situation ended a couple years ago but I was always hoping for some kind of reunion. But this year a few days before graduation I was basically told the final word that this person wanted nothing to do with me, and I was told I was part of the past and something that had to be left behind with that.

This wasn't like a smoochycoo kinda relationship or anything. It's not like it was a boyfriend thing.

ANYWAY I was going fine with that, and I was really MAD grr but also really numb.

And I thought maybe I was beyond it bc we hadn't had contact for 2 years anyway, so I thought maybe I had finally accepted everything.

Well this morning I was listening to Van Morrison and then "Kite" and I just lost it. I hadn't cried ever since I was told what I was told and all of a sudden today it just HIT me and I was like omd....

Anyway. Just wanted to *VENT* is all. And now to make the thread worthwhile I bestow upon PLEBA my most cherished pics of all:

It sounds like this guy is a real jerk for treating you that way. Of course I don't know the whole story, but sometimes things happen for a reason. Maybe you are better off without him in your life, I know that sounds painful now, but I know how you feel.

*Flashback to 1993 (age17)*

I was soooo in love (or so I thought) with this guy, and he knew it and took advantage of it. He of course never had money, so I bought him things, whatever he wanted I got him. Well needless to say, I was tapped out of cash, and when he wanted something, I couldn't buy it. This made him mad and he pretty much said he wanted nothing to do with me. Which of course hurt like hell....it took a while for me to see that he was just using me. Of Course at the time, I had the Oprah defined "Need to Please Disease," where I thought I wasn't worth anything to anyone unless I gave a part of myself even if they didn't give back.


*Back to Present*

I know that story doesn't really relate to your story, but it hurts to have someone say something like that to you, no matter the circumstances. Just remember all the other wonderfull people you have in your life and turn to them. One of them is going to be better than 100 of this one guy.

Awwww, Mona, I'm really sorry for you! Was it a friendship that ended then? I hope you cheer up soon. Whoever this person was, forget them. You are worth so much more than he/she could possibly realize, so don't bother trying to prove that to him/her. Remember, everything happens for a reason, so try to focus on the positive results of this bad situation, and maybe then you can cheer up! I'm sorry.
A similar thing happened to me, though this person didn't have the decency to tell me. She was my best friend for the longest time and we grew up together and she was the only friend I have ever thought of as true. When I moved (less than an hour's drive away), she stopped contacting me. I thought she was busy, so I'd call her, she'd be gracious on the phone but never call me. So I decided that was enough. I last saw her Jan 2001 and last talked to her April 2001..... And I really care that we apparently never had the friendship I thought we did, but I pretend not to... *sigh* So the moral of the story has yet to be found.... But (((Mona))).
