how about an hilarious Adam ancedote early in the morning to celebrate RSOC!
This was taken from another emailing list, from a woman named Claire. It's Bono's speech at one of the Ele shows.
"I was sleeping on the floor last night
and I was remembering the various times over
the various years I have slept on floors on
concrete, in fields and under trees and lots
of places I have slept over the years. And I
was thinking of 1981, sleeping in the back
of vans, coming up the M1 here to play then
going back down and up. Then I remembered
something I'd forgotten for a long time which
was being in a van going to Berlin and
that time you had to go through the wall, me,
myself, Edge, Larry and Adam were sleeping in
the back of this van in the freezing cold and
it was wetter inside than it was outside and
there were lots of awful gases coming from
Adam's arse. It was quite an extraordinary occasion.
The next thing was the doors flew open and 2 giant alsation dogs jumped in and they
started going mental like they'd found some
drugs but they hadn't found some drugs, they
had found Adams....extraordinary...arse!
I haven't thought of that for like 15 years
(laughs) but i think we wrote a tune about it
on an album, not the arse but the...why am I
telling you this..Oh I know...this is a song
we wrote 10 yrs later in Berlin, its called
Stay."
