I didn't even recognize Richard Gere there! Did he age like 20 years overnight? Mind you, I didn't expect him to look like he did in "An Office and a Gentleman", but Bono is certainly aging far more gracefully, IMO.

I was thinking just how much older he looks from Chicago. When did that come out?

I KNOW! It's not like Mr. Gere is ancient or anything (had to check IMDb, he's 63), but whoa. My dad is 64 and he certainly does not look that old. I'm betting when Bono hits 63, he'll still look pretty much the same as now.

Well, Gere is 11 years older than Bono. I think Gere is gracefully aging, no nip and tuck as I can see. With that said I actually didn't recognize him by his face but his never changing hairstyle.

I was going to say - Gere has been "gracefully aging" for 20 years now. His hair's just finally tipped over from the "salt and pepper gray" to full on gray.

Now why does it not surprise me to see him sit with his arms around two chicks. Some things never change...

I wonder if he's going to Ukrain/Poland to see a EC match of Ireland.

awwh... wow. I hope the person taking the photos wasn't aware of the sad occassion.. Am I the only one that thinks this was very intrusive?

Oh well... I guess that's part of being a public person. Bono was close to her as well... so just saying..

I dunno ... it's not like they were of him coming out of the funeral. He was at a hotel.

I'm sure there will be pics of him before or after the funeral.

Obviously, it's a sad time, but the paparazzi isn't going to declare him "off limits" for a set amount of time after the death of a family member. I mean, assuming these were paparazzi snaps (which I'm guessing they are), they're not going to try and figure out if he's out and about on "funeral related business" before taking a picture. I doubt the thought to NOT take pictures won't even occur to them outside the funeral.

If we as a community feel that strongly about it, then don't post/share pictures.

(Not saying that's the case with this set.)

Remember all the photos after Bob Hewson's funeral? I doubt the paparazzi have gotten more respectful.

Would I look them up if they had not been posted here? Probably. These are people we care about. We just want to share the moment. Hopefully they keep their distance and just passively capture the moment. And God, I hope we see NO fan photos. Now that is out of line. These news photographers are reporting news.

Yeah, I don't feel that strongly about them being posted (it's too bad they get taken, but what are you going to do? it's the way that world works).

I just meant that I didn't think that "Edge leaves a hotel a few days after his mom died" pictures are disrespectful.

I hope Bono could give his friend and brother some comfort in this difficult time. He was close to Edge's mom, too.

Actually the friends FB page that I found the pictures on, made no mention that they were actually taken at Edge's Mum funeral! All that was said and I quote....

No, sorry if you misunderstood. Nobody here thought they were taken at his funeral.

I'm afraid Daily Mail has already covered the funeral with pictures and comment section.
Even in articles about funerals there are people who never should have been allowed to comment expressing whatever they want.
