bring on Wake Up Dead Man :hyper:

the story I've read is they didn't like it at first didn't think there was much there, but Lanois or Lillywhite worked on it for so long and they finally hashed it out.

I've never read they disliked the version on Achtung, just that they wished they had done it differently. Two different things.

Nice catch, and alphabetical too, which can only mean 1 thing...

WIRE!!!!!!!!!

(I'm a dumbass, "r" comes after "t" :( No Wire I guess...

wowy.... Damn good 3 song bit for an encore!!!

on a bed of nails she makes me wait....love that lyric

I don't like that WOWY has become a staple. I mean I'm happy I'll probably get to hear it at my next show, but I like it better when it's a rarity and a reward for a great crowd.

I'm getting a little tired of WOWY :reject: I wish they'd do the "shine like the stars" verse more regularly

I've been tired of WOWY since the day I first heard it.

I feel that way about Gone sometimes. I heard it during the Elevation DVD, and then when I finally got the Pop CD I didn't want to listen to it anymore.

Wow, it's gone really loud.

Shame we didn't get Shine Like Stars.

I dont think it was dislike, or it wouldnt have made the album. I think it was more of how the single came out is what they had in mind for the song. I remember Edge saying something about that back when it came out as a single. I think those type of comments by the band are were the prior comment came from indicating they didnt like the song. They obviously do and thats all I was trying to point out.
