Okay, what's the real reason the tour didn't happen per Bono's remark during the Toronto 9/14 show?

as often discussed, the tour was gonna be called off because of a private matter (illness in one of the band members family), but they decided to carry on and just kick off the tour 3 weeks later than planned. since it was a bit spontaneous to reorganize the tour again, the whole ticket fiasco happened as well (at least that was part of the reason, the other being ticketmaster/u2.com incompetence)...

edge's daughter was sick, sian. i think she's getting better. so thats good for her & the family. so you can understand why they would put it off.
