Ticketmaster question
Does anyone know of one is able to purchase tickets for a show at a ticketmaster outlet located in a different state as the show? Just wondering.

Outlets are not a good bet for onsales. Too many variables.
1. If there is more than 1 (one) person in line, ticketmaster requires them to do a lottery for line position. They are defaulting on their ticketmaster contract if they do not do this. Worst case: You show up at 3 am to have two other dudes show up at 9:30..and you get the wrong number and are 3rd in line. Or worse! 2. Ticketmaster software is easy to use and not complex (I know, I used to work for them dealing with outlets) but most outlets are not that well trained and are part time employees making a minimum wage. They will mess up, get things wrong, etc. 3. They rely on the same internet connections as you can get at home via your pc/mac. They are not faster. 4. Ticketmaster usually (some small exceptions) only allows outlets to sell tickets to events in their state. Too many other variables (sales tax, age restrictions, wheelchair laws). 5. If there are multiple people and the event is a big one, Ticketmaster instructs outlets to take orders ahead of time and just print the tickets. Not always what you want. (IE if you don't want GA. ) You will just get best available. |
