First of all, let me say that I know a lot of people here haven't had the chance to see U2 live many times, if at all, thanks to issues relating to geography, age, work, money, etc. I don't want this thread to sound elitist or snobby or for to infer that seeing multiple shows makes you a "real" fan.

Early shows on the Elevation tour they played an acoustic version, just Bono & Edge. They stood right next to me on the heart while they played it! Though honestly it did kind of suffer from not being a full band version.

I'm not sure how far into the tour they played it. I saw it at the 3rd Elevation show in Charlotte, North Carolina.


By the way, the only song I've seen that is not on this list is All Along the Watch Tower, at the Denver show on the last leg of the Elevation tour. It was an acoustic full band version with a fan playing guitar.

I'm too lazy to list all the songs I've seen. The next rarest song I've seen is If God Would Send His Angels. They retired that one pretty quickly on the Popmart tour. I was too late to see Do You Feel Loved? They played that one like three times or something.
