Oh, I've been feelin' the love for quite some time, now.

Broken Social Scene
Stars
The New Pornographers
Feist

And so forth.

Not sure if you've heard of these Canadian bands, but I highly recommend them:

Matt Mays + El Torpedo
Sam Roberts

The Fields (my band, though we're not signed yet, so it may be a little while before you can check us out! )

Hi folks, I'm back.

Wow, you think Arcade Fire's over-rated? I thought I was the only one.

Well, I don't hate 'em or nothin'. But, I mean...2/3 of a good album does not a classic make, y'dig? They're good. I don't really know what else to say about 'em.

Still a lot better than most of the other bands I run into on a semi-regular basis. I likes 'em enough.

Axver, you little bastard, I've been looking for you, but you've apparently been firing off missives to the White House. Stay here at the set list party and say hello for shit's sake.

 G'day! Yeah, I went to bombard the White House with some rugby balls, but then I decided I'd rather, you know, play rugby with them instead.

:hyper: hello everyone! I almost forgot until I was organizing my bootlegs and needed to check a site for the tour dates!

Yeah, Arcade Fire sucks... 27 people hammering away at the same time does not = good music.

Seems you like them less than me, and I like them less than If You Shout! I just think they're a bit generic, trying to be too many things and not really pulling off exceptional music. Some of the stuff's enjoyable enough and I listen to them a wee bit, though I'm not so keen on their vocals sometimes.

And I think they butchered a classic in Wake Up. The breakdown ruins it for me. If it stopped around the 3:30 mark, it'd be the perfect example of how to make a great song that's less than four minutes long.

what I think we know so far

Beautiful Day / ??? Snippet

I wouldn't say "sucks," exactly, but there are about three really, really good songs on the album, and the rest are just a'ight for me.

And of course, Wake Up will always have positive associations.
