FINALLY - Ticketmaster take ownership of this situation

Ticketmaster have apologised to U2 fans who found themselves frustrated by
technical problems in today's online presale to U2.Com Members.

'Ticketmaster would like to apologise to those U2 Fan Club members who
experienced problems in purchasing tickets via the Ticketmaster website
today.

'In order to ensure fans were given priority access to tickets, U2's
management instructed Ticketmaster to organise a pre-sale for U2 Fan Club
members. Members were given a six-digit code which, for security reasons,
was enabled for one-time use only. Tickets went onsale at 10:00am this
morning and immediately Ticketmaster experienced an incredibly high level
of demand. This resulted in the website, www.ticketmaster.co.uk, offering
a slower than normal service. Unfortunately some customers were timed out
of the website and found that when they attempted to continue with their
transaction, the six-digit code was no longer valid.

An automatic email link had been set up on the website to help any
customers with an invalid code. Ticketmaster has been working to resolve issues concerning access codes and will be contacting all customers affected with further instructions on how to purchase tickets.

'There is still ticket availability at all UK venues and we are confident
that all those affected by the problem today will still be able to purchase
tickets.

'Once again Ticketmaster would like to apologise to those affected by the
problem today. Ticketmaster is committed to offering the best possible
service and we can assure customers that once we became aware of the
problem, we took every possible step to ensure a quick and efficient
solution. '

The importatnt thing here is I think something will be resolved, they have admitted they have missed up and tickets are still available.

I'm very happy to hear that Ticketmaster is taking care of the problem in Europe!

However, I am in the US and my problem is the limited amount of available tickets. I think U2 needs to take care of this one.

I hope all you Europeans can get the tickets you want now! I'm especially jealous of those of you going to Croke Park!

Well if they have taken reponsibility here, it stand s to reason that they should for the US as well.

Personally I think general sale needs to be put back while ALL members who want tickets get them, and I am damn sure anyone who has bought a U2.com membership only did so for early "guaranteed" ticket purchase.

OK so maybe the code will work now, but the tickets that I wanted are not available:

London - Twickenham - Standing - Tickets Currently Unavailable

So - I haven't worked out if I want to use my code to get seated tickets (if that will work at all), or instead wait to see if they fix the problem with Twickenham Standing tickets.

Is that just a soft way of telling us that the Twickenham Standing tickets are actually sold out? did anyone see Twickenham Standing Sold Out on the ticketmaster site once they got through with their code?

well my code still doesn't work, this is a shambles. You could have put money on it

..

"ticket availibilty" means that you can still shell out 4100 plus for shit seats that are left over. GA? forget it
