Maybe Clear Channel & TNA are the real problem

anyone see this on eBay? in the shipping details, it says the tickets are direct from the promoter and not ticketmaster

to finish my post - who says all the tickets are going to Ticketmaster and the brokers are getting them that way? Perhaps Clear Channel & TNA is funneling tickets to brokers and it is much worse that we know.

Clear Channel is 100% to blame for all this. They make the contract with the band and usually win the contract by "outbidding" all of the smaller promoters. Then they set ticket prices to a level that fulfills the amount of the contract with the band, and I assume gives them a little bit over the top. They are to blame for these rapidly-rising ticket prices year after year. But as the sell-outs will show, people are willing to pay.
