![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ................YES, indeedy~~ there really WAS!!!!! ![]() For those with astute & knowledge of CBGB"s first round ofpunk/new wavers they heard { & in my case the Binocs to corfirm what OUR ears were telling us....} ......during The PAtti Smith Group's opener..... sitting down in the corner by the amp stacks on the audience's left stage side was....... .........another lead gutair..... the unmistakeable lyrical, liquid, occasionally arabesque playing of ***Tom Verlaine*** one of the towering gutairists of Television .....AND A BIG INFLUENCE on .............The EDGE ![]() One of my gutairist get together dreams HAS been to hear Verlaine & Edge ![]() It was a joy to hear him working with PSG's material ! |
