First Tour That....

Is this the first tour where each member of U2 plays more than one thing? Adam plays piano and bass, Larry plays drums and keyboards, Edge plays piano and guitar and Bono guitar and vocals and harmonica. Also, everyone but Adam provides vocals.

Nah, Edge and Adam have always switched instruments on "40."

At LA1, Bono did go over to Adam and ask if he wanted to sing along to "Elevation," he smiled and mouthed the word "no."

Adam does sing on the b-sides, "Endless Deep" and "Boomerang II" though.

Yes, they always switched instruments during 40.

But I agree that it's cool to see the guys trying out other stuff. Especially Adam. It just shows how fun they have doing what they're doing.
