At least for NYC, you could see the button 'search for tickets'.

i got lucky and got a good single, but i know a lot of people who couldn't even get on ticketmaster's web-site. poor bastards were trying to get onto the website for about an hour after it sold out, with no luck. when they finally got on, they couldn't search for tickets at all.
