My husband developed a dependency on pain pills (Loratabs) b/c of chronic degenerative disc disease and 2 collapsed discs...he is 34...not really old. Rehab did the trick four years ago and he is a better person, but lives in pain daily. He does get periodic (walking) epidurals that numb him for 3-4 months max. It truly sucks.

I'm 28. I've had 2 back surgeries. The last one took about a year to really kick in, and in the meantime I got dependent on painkillers (and just kicked them). But it's the WORST.

Hope he finds more relief than I have. He certainly deserves it more (although I feel like with his money, he should have gotten this licked).

I know a few people with back problems. And if you have seen Bono during Love & Peace or Else this tour, you know his injury isn´t serious.

All he needs is som serious touring, get in shape, after all these Big style political dinners. Not a healthy lifestyle. He´s just a little short on Rock and Roll. He´ll be fine, I´m shure...
