<<110,000>>

They must be very close to u2's record - which may have been spain 1987.

20 september 1997 : Reggio Emilia, Italy : An estimated 150,000-plus fans are in attendance making this the largest crowd of U2's concert history.

Another one:

MAN!!!! What a crowd it must be!

Much better than the Reggio Emilia.... That was a big cornfield with 125 000.... What a noise it must be with 110 000 in a stadium!

I was in Gothenburg with 60 000 and that was amazing... Nou Camp is 2 x Nya Ullevi:shocked:

Now, that's a stadium!!
At Amsterdam 2 (55.000) I was in the back of the stadium, in the second ring, a few rows below the top...... In a way, the view of the stage was amazing, but I had to look down...
Imagine how it would be in the 110.000 seater....

Man, it's twice as large as the Amsterdam Arena.....

On zootopia, they're saying that U2 doesn't go on until 10 p.m. local time.

..I guess that's a 'normal' time for Spanish standards... Soccer matches usually start late too..

Is there a bootleg of Barcelona up already?
Can't have it early enough...

wow, until 10 p.m.? That's great! In Vienna they started about 9:45 and it was so cool!

And BTW - Why is the "04/02/2004" on that photo above?:eyebrow:

Definitely starting late with a purpose of course.
They're pushing the concert until it will absolutely run after midnight.
And then they'll sing Happy Birthday to the Edge!!

9:00 in Oslo, that was a bit early, didn't get dark enough for the One Mobile Phones for example...

9:45 in Gothenburg and it was quite a different experience big screen-vise

I don't think that's the reason, but it will be a nice thing to do...
Soccer matches often start as late as 10-11 PM because of summer heat and old tradition...

I'm guessing ramblinrose and Wildhoney won't be text messaging us, huh?

Wild isn't texting me (I don't have a phone), otherwise I'd be trying to get updates *g* Not sure about Ramblinrose though.
