Lets hope it materializes as they have been known to plan to do stuff before and not followed through on it. Did he say when they were planning to do this? As there isnt a very big window for them to start recording new material. Does he guard Bono when they are off the tour also? I thought Bono didnt use them when they were not on the road.

Bono will be gearing up for the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland from January 25-29, teaming up with Bill Gates to continue their human rights campaign with the world political and major university and college leaders.

Edge will be participating in something far more fun as a guest judge in a MIT Ringtone Competition, presented by h-lounge.com. The competition is open only to students, faculty, and other affiliates of MIT and all submissions must be from a valid [at]mit[dot]edu campus email address. If you are among the lucky to fall within this category, check out the rules of the competition here. (What's funny is they list Edge as David "The Edge" Howell Evans ... when was the last time you ever saw that?)

Edge's middle name is Howell?? What a badass middle name!

I imagine they are going to demo a few tunes, cause if they have a big break in the tour, they usually don't like to just sit around and adjust to life OFF the road when they are due ON the road again 2 months later. I imagine they will be working on some tunes, just to keep the U2 machine firing on all cylinders during the lengthy break.

In People there was a picture of Bono and Ali at a horsetrack in Ireland (I think) right around Christmas...

Bono was at a film premiere in Dublin last night..

I am off to Dublin next week - does anyone know if they are still going to be in Dublin - I know that Bono has commitments from the 23rd Jan

I will meet him in Copenhagen, I guarantee you. Even if I have to camp outside for hours like I did when I met Adam. I will meet that man. I am determined. I cannot wait.

I will also tell him to play Until The End Of The World in Yokohama.
This is so weird, a few months ago I was getting used to the fact that the tour was over for me - but now I get to meet Bono and I'm going to Japan! I love myself for doing this to me.

Call Tivoli. Learn if he has a special entrance, or whatever. If I can't, I will stay around Tivoli (probably buy a ticket to go in there) around 1:30-5:30, but maybe stay at the hotel around noon or something. Dunno. He's leaving for Germany in the evening, so I'm not even sure he needs a hotel. Anyway, are you planning doing the same?
