After 21 years, Bono's finally got the facts straight

The way I remember hearing the reasonong for "early morning" instead of "early evening" was that "early morning" just sounded better in the flow of the song. Bono was aware of the historical inaccuracy.

Little known fact: Dr. King actually wasn't shot in Memphis, but it flowed better than "a shot rings out in the Chattanooga sky..."

(Just awful, I know.)

Right, rastacruz.

I have bootlegs from Popmart and Elevation where Bono sings "early evening" and "early morning", so to him, I don't think it really matters.

Bono knows how much he loves and respects Dr. King.

I DO check my facts and I really don't think cheap shots at others for no good reason at all befits someone who calls themselves a U2 fan.

We need to elevate our reasoning.

it's funny...I was listening to 3/8/85 last night and he says "in the evening, April 4" so he was even correcting it way back in the '80s.
