Entertainment Weekly reported this week that a new Mexican movie will center around U2. "Claudio Caballero decides to gamble $500,000 dollars in a desperate attempt to raise the cash necessary to bring the world's biggest band (U2) to Mexico. "
No mention of any member of U2 making an appearance...anyone heard anything?

since U2 aren't listed in the cast, and i haven't heard any stories of them flying to mexico to shoot a movie with mexican soap opera actors, i don't think the plot will end with U2 in a concert at mexico.

As a Mexican who is proud of it's recent cinema (some, there's still very bad mexican movies coming out) I would advise to stay away from this, I sure it's an embarrasment, right before the tour started, Bono went to Acapulco and one of the stars (Camil) played host for Bono and apparently he showed the movie to Bono and said he liked it, but I haven't seen an actual quote from Bono, so I think he was just being nice.

but you never now, I'll post a review as soon as I see one
