That is, if the 10 is fairly clear from LA to Phoenix that afternoon.

D-Backs are out of town, sadly. Wait, that might be a good thing.

Correct. It's about 380 miles. It's a straight shot, though, so that helps.

This was my U2005 tour, but, in looking at my car after the drive up to and back from San Jose, it's more like the dead bug at 80 mph tour all over my car tour.

No - I will be up in the corporate suite with my old lady on the 15th so no need to camp out.

I got a decent rate at a nearby Best Western.

Yeah, the gas prices are not fun for road trips.

Bring the sunscreen, lots of water and some source of shade - you will be in the direct sun until 1PM or so and it is frickin hot here in Phoenix right now
