Back from Vegas... what a great trip!! Lost too much money in the casinos and spent too much at the spa, but it was a great trip.
We were at the Sat night show, it was fabulous!! Did not make it to the ellipse however we were right at the front rail on the right. I will upload my photos tomorrow in the meantime here are a few from my buddy (her first U2 concert, she is completely converted and was in awe all night)
Now I've spent oodles of money on tickets this year (not complaining, every penny has been worth it, and I’m not even counting the money I’ve spent since 1985) but with 15 shows this year, I only had one chance at GA... I made this elaborate black and red HTDAAB & One campaign sign specifically requesting Larry’s drumsticks (maybe you even saw the sign hanging on the rail or y fancy “The Goal is Soul” Vegas Bling shirt). During City of Blinding Lights opener, Bono noticed the sign right away. I had to sit tight and wait for that moment in Love & Peace…
Now in the end, I am happy to say that I received one of the drumsticks...but I should really have them both which was blatantly obvious to everyone around us… What happened was when the song ended, the staffer who had the drums behind his back mistakenly handed them to a girl 2 people down from me... and she was not about to hand them over. Needless to say, my friends and the very cool people we'd met that evening were shocked at her refusal and gave this gal alot of grief. My dear friend continued to plead with her to do the right thing, and she later reluctantly handed one of them over... It was nice of her and I'm thrilled to have even one…should have been the set but guess that’s the way it goes
PS – if this gal is an interference member, thank you it meant a lot to me
