Just returned from the show. It couldn't have been better, even with Bono flubbing some lines.

I got to the venue at 4, just in time to see Bono and Edge arrive. Got some nice shots of Edge signing. Then, I got in line, the nice short U2.com line was like 70 or so. Anyways, I met some great people, including two girls named Lisa and Nancy. We decided, on the advice of a very nice boy, to try to get into the ellipse as a threesome. Lo and behold we got in!!!

Also, was pleasantly surprised that cameras were allowed! I have 100 amazing photos.

I was on the front rail just center of Adam. Then I noticed a tall guy in the ellipse, it was John Cusack! Then behind me I notice the guy from the HBO show Entourage, apparently they were shooting at the Concert!

Well, the show itself was unbelievable. The highlights for me were Mysterious Ways (brought a girl onstage and was chased by another one), All Because of You (one of my fave songs), One, and well dammmit the entire show rocked.

Sorry for the rambling, but I am still on cloud 9.

Hah, d'ya reckon John Cusack had to wait on Ticketmaster for days for HIS GA ticket? :eyebrow:

Kidding, actually, I think Cusack is a bit of a babe, and High Fidelity shows he's actually a music fan....

Good one, Trojanchick99!

Trojan, At 4, were you waiting by the ramp where the cars go under the auditorium? If so, did the cars stop before going under? Or did they walk back up? Did Bono stop, too?

I say them make a 'runner' with police escort immediately after the show.

trojanchick, good for you! How did you manage getting three into the ellipse?? Did just one ticket beep and then they let the third one in with you?

I snagged a picture with him. Grosse Pointe Blank is one of my fave movies.

I literally arrived and saw Bono at the entrance. But yeah, it was at the ramp going under the arena. It looked like Bono just stopped, but Edge had maybe come back. Edge stayed for a few minutes signing and taking pics.

This is the big secret. They will let in groups of three. I ran into quite a few in the B.S. So, being in a group of three actually increases your odds. I was certain I wasn't getting in, because the guy right in front of me scanned in, but the third in my party did.

Hmm...:hmm: Good strategy... I think I will have to try to make friends in the GA line since I'm going by myself. But it's a risk since it's not official policy that they will let in 3 people at a time. But they do seem to have been cool about it lately.

That's exactly what I did. I made friends with two great U2 fans, one of whom ended up getting Adam's pick.

Anyways, while some of it is up to the venue, I think the person making the final decision was with the band. I have a supspicion that especially those who are early, they will be letting in groups of three for the rest of the tour. There didn't seem to be any problems last night.

Yup, and I have a picture with him. I also saw David Hasselhoff. Although I'm bummed I missed Tony and Adrian from No Doubt, Orlando Bloom, Flea from the Chili Peppers (which explains the bit of Under the Bridge last night) and Jon Bon Jovi.

orlando...

great experience- i'm glad you had a blast!! and thanks for the heads up about the threesome thing... :hmm:
