MERGED --> Las Vegas + Las Vegas? + Vegas Baby!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
To the people who think they will get GAs, do you know that U2 is not releasing tickets b/c they are giving hotels, etc. a chance to buy them. It wasn't the presale that depleted the stock of Vegas 1 tickets, it was hotel, casinos, etc.

doesn't surprise me at all... hardly any GA or good seats for the show.. mostly are singles...

I was at the box office yesterday and got screwed along with everyone else there.
But this one guy a couple of people ahead of me was talking to his friend on a cell phone. Apparently his friend had gone to one of the ticketbastard outlets (like the ones in grocery stores or the other casinos), was 6th in line, and got either really good tickets or GAs.
Figures, because the whole thing at MGM didn't start until around 10:15-10:20.
So would that be a good idea to try? Or should I just stick to the phone or internet?

ticketmaster.com worked for me, got 2 decent tickets (expensive though), so it might be worth trying that. or maybe have a friend try through the internet while you go in person and try.

anyone knows how many peoples go in Mgm?
And how come that section 107/105 are so ecpensive?
and they costs more then GA's do?

I bought tix for the show via MGM phone line, pretty easily actually, but they don't mail out the tickets, will call only. It's OK I guess, if you're in Vegas or don't plan to trade or sell the tickets. But since I'm in L.A. and I may trade these, I have to wait until I make a Vegas run, which is a bummer. Anyone know if I can pick these up at anytime or only day of show?

Transferring this post...

I think you can pick up Will Call tickets you order directly from the MGM anytime, they just print them out for you. The Mandalay also when you go to concerts there, I went and got mine so I could sell them also. But both places if they have better tickets come up, will trade in your old tickets for you if you bought them directly from them, another reason to do that. They also can print out tickets at the airport at their check-in place there, if I remember right I even got some there. I've done it before when I've been in Vegas a few months before a concert. But make sure and call them. I went to the ticket ladies at the front entrance next to the check-in huge area at the hotel and got my tickets printed out. TM Will Call is different, if I remember right any Will Call from TM they only give out at the back tkt office at the arena by the Monorail and only on show day beginning at a certain time.

and yea that makes sense, all the other hotels in Vegas also want their own pile of U2 tkts for their own high rollers.

I thought the guy on the phone told me they had sold all 19k tkts in 1/2 hr. So at least 19k.

they shouldn't be, but they are because U2 priced it that way, it makes up for the cheap price of the floor GA's.

How much is a GA?
I really dont understand, cause GA are the best places, and that is why they are cheaper?

When will ETS list the second Vegas show on their web site? Or are all of their packages already gone?

I'm gonna try for Vegas GA tomorrow. But I have a question. Do you have to specify GA on ticketmaster, or would it come up if u put best available?

Are the best available tickets in the house the GA tickets?

if you really want GA, specify it. otherwise theyll most likely give you the best seats, meaning $200 tickets.

Ok, last week I got up at 5:00AM and waited at the MGM like a jerk, only to get totally shut out. So, should I...

A-Try Ticketbastard on-line?
B-Try Ticketbastard over the phone?
C-Try the MGM box office over the phone? (Anyone have the number)
D-Try a grocery store or something like that?

fuck fuck fuck! i specified GA and everything gone! and my sister tried from another computer, and she was refreshing every 3 seconds yet, tickets on that computer went on sale about 2 minutes after they went on sale on my computer, and she tried for best available, and got nothing WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
