MERGED --> Las Vegas + Las Vegas? + Vegas Baby!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
tripreservations.com has the best rates for the other hotels right now. Some are really low.

i wouldnt brag about seeing josh groban

wasn't "bragging."

But I will now, I'm proud to be his fan, just like I'm proud to be U2's fan for so many years. I have an open mind, apparently something we don't share.

Las Vegas?

someone posted this on U2.com...thought I should pass it along.....

well, this may be a poster that isn't hung yet. It may have been a casino employee that took the pic (just speculating), so who knows...it maybe a date that they will announce soon. Keep the peepers open!

they really should have the on sale date on there and not just "Saturday"

stupid poster makers

be nice to bonosgirl, she called and confirmed tickets go on sale on the 9th

and she's trying to give out good info on veags, since she lives there she probably knows what shes talking about

I know that alot of tours that stop in Vegas (especially MGM Arena) usually see a hike in ticket prices. I guess cause of all the gambling and stuff. :madspit:

what do you think? will the $50 tickets go up to $70 or $80????

I just called the MGM grand for ticket info. You can buy the tixs from their box office or ticketbastard.
Have a question though....the person at the MGM said that tickets prices were $183.75, $99.75 and $51.98. I asked her if the $51.98 tixs were for GA, and she said that they were 'probably' the upper upper seats. I have never been to a show at the MGM, do they have GA? And is the MGM lady incorrect with this info?
Any info you all have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

well since U2 has it's stage we all just saw, you can be pretty sure that the $51 tkts are GA because unless U2 is going to put seats inside the oval, which would be silly, it'll be standing. Those phone people probably don't even know a thing about U2's show.

Go in person anyone that can, that's where you get the best tkts at the MGM box office, there are ladies in a box office at the front by the reservation desk, and there is a main box office back by the arena. You can also usually call up and buy tkts directly from their box office, only problem there is it will be a busy signal for hrs, but someone will get through, so it's worth doing that besides online, plus use another phone to TM. I think the seating is 15k - 20k.

Certainly hoping that U2.com is letting fanclub members, original Prop members at least, in on a presale. At this point, there is probably not many who have not used their codes.

ETS sounds like a wonderful idea.

I just called Fanfire and they have no info on it yet. I asked them when we should see the presale info, and they don't even know. I, then, asked them if there will even be a presale, and they don't know.

I, also, called MGM Grand and asked about Nov 5th as a possible date. They said they have them for the 4th, but nothing has been scheduled for the 5th. She, also, told me that they are still figuring out prices for the tickets, that is why it has not been posted as of yet.

i have to work on saturday too, but i have a very reliable person ready to stand there for hours if i need him to. they will be passing out wristbands at six.

yeah, and nothing personal, bonoed, but the two people i spoke with last night seemed very well informed about this event. casino employees aren't really the morons you make them out to be.

anyway, i'm thinking of getting tickets through an agency for this one.

it's just too huge.

the presale for former Prop members is tomorrow at 10 am, and for U2.com members who haven't used their codes (can there still be any??) is 10 am Wed.

My code didn't work last week for Oakland, altho I am a former Prop member. TM wouldn't "reset" it even tho I forwarded them the email from U2.com telling me to tell them to reset it.

yes they are. I go to concerts there all the time, they usually know zilch about anything. If you actually think you're going to be sitting in chairs, romal.

Why don't you find someone else to harass, huh?

They will be passing out wristbands at 6? Where? And 6pm or 6am? At the ticket booths behind the arena or at the ticket desk by reservations? (I don't know where this ticket desk is by reservations, but someone said there is one.) Any info about these wristbands would be helpful, as I'll be in line to buy tickets. Also, the motel 6 is across the street from the MGM and is currently $80/night for that weekend. I've stayed there: it's not very nice, but is clean and is fine if all you need is a place to crash. And I'm confident there will be a saturday show added. Thanks.

The San Remo also is directly across the street from the MGM, and it's usually affordable and a really good value. Edited to say: even it is not such a great value those dates. The Sahara and Riviera are tho, and they are both really nice and a great value. If you don't have a car, it's good to stay in one on the monorail route.

I bet they're doing only one of the ticket places, probably the back one by the arena, if they are doing wrist bands, I can't see them having 2 or 3 ticket places open for lineups like that. At least there they're open 24/7, you can sit at the ticket booth all night long, hope they have more than the usual 2 people staffing it they usually have at it.

It could be the ticket booth that is inside it's next to the Mexican Restaurant as you go into the arena, the monorail station is right next to it as well, or it could be the outside ticket booth directly at the arena doors which is outside the bldg. Also the monorail is a great way now to get from the other hotels to the MGM, and thank goodness it now works fine.

Here's a bit of trivia, and a good meal, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are the owners of Sea Blue Restaurant in there.

Vegas baby, vegas! Would love to see them in Vegas. Unfortunately, I burned my prop pre-sale code on a pair of tickets for oakland on 11/8. Should have waited. Anybody want to trade?!? Otherwise, I'm playing the lottery this saturday.

good luck everyone!
