remember they will be returning to the US later.

Is that typical for them to do two legs in the U.S.? I'm hoping so because the dates they have now just do not work for me because of other commitments.

This is the first tour since I've become a U2 fan and really don't want to miss out.

I kind of like all these fake-pissed off fans. Just shows that U2 fans are really some of the most annoying fans I have ever met at points.

Hell, they only released a greatest hits double album, 3 DVD's, 2 singles (Hands that built America, Electrical Storm) AND perhaps one of the greatest albums of their career in HTDAAB in the 3 years 4 months since they got off the road. Then they are going to play 60 dates in the US in air conditioned, comfy seat, arenas. Their cheapest ticket is $49 bucks. Everybody knows they will hit up the southeast and Canada on the third leg.

Yet people still bitch. What more do you want from them? Want them to buy you breakfast and console you over the fact that they aren't playing your backyard?

Goddamn, I love this band but sometimes the fans make me want throw the #*$@ up.

Try living a state where U2 has NEVER COME. IN 25 years...NEVER ONCE, and the nearest city is 6 hours. My wife and I have still managed to see them over 40 times. And almost never got tickets that we wanted at onsales. Deal with it.

Life is an adventure. It is more fun to see them in a different city anyway.

FINALLY! I"M SO EXCITED BUT.... TICKETMASTER DOESN'T SHOW THE SALE FOR THE HP PAVILION EVENT IN SAN JOSE ON APRIL 9TH. HMMMMMMMMMMM............... ANY ONE KNOW OTHERWISE?

If you're lumping me into this category - you're wrong and I don't appreciate it! I'm not pissed off at all about U2 not being in my backyard. They don't owe it to me to come to my state even! I had a legitimate question because I have several trips in the next few months that I can't reschedule and the extra cost right now of another trip is just something I can't swing. I've heard that in the past that U2 adds legs to their tours, so I'm hoping that is the case this time. And no, not "everybody knows they will hit up the southeast and Canada on the third leg." That's why I was asking.

Lady Val yes U2 usually do at least 2 Legs of US tour dates, and with the lack of cities annouced on the first leg I expect the 3rd leg to have a lot more cities added.

There is no need for concern at this point in time. Paul Maguiness has stated that their will be over 100 dates on this tour so that is exactly what I expect will happen when Edge gets his personal issues sorted out.

Trust me we all know U2 want to tour this album because they feel it is one of their best and so do I.

Thank you, Yahweh!! I appreciate the information, it's very helpful. I agree, the album is one of their best!!

Yahweh, do you think you'll be going to Vancouver or will you try and stick it out, and wait for the third leg? If there are no Alberta dates announced for the third leg, Vancouver is as close as we're gonna get. I don't know what the best use of my code is at this point.

From Edmonton I have done some research on it and Phoenix is actually the cheepest so that is probably where I am going to end up going. I do expect Alberta shows to be added on the 3rd leg but I am simply not taking any chances just incase something happens and there is no 3rd leg.

None the less whether you are going to Vancouver, Seattle or Phoenix they are all one plane away and about the same in price between 200 and 250.

Pheonix also appeals to me because the building is brand new and should have good views all around the building. I went to Vancouver last time for the Elevation tour as well which was excellent but I just wanted to go someplace different this time.

I of course will be going to any Alberta date they add on the 3rd leg which I think will be more then probable...but I really thought Calgary would be on the first leg and then they might come to Edmonton on the 3rd with that not happening now I think it is unlikely Edmonton gets a 3rd leg show which is a shame.

I am sorry for my ignorance, if and when the second leg of the NA tour are announced, and one does is not able to use their presale code form U2.com on this leg of the tour, will they be able to use it for the next announced leg?

I know lame question, but I just had to ask.... :der:

:bono: :edge: :larry: :adam:

i cant wait to see the 3rd leg dates. i live in cincinnati ohio and they arent coming close. i may go to chicago but i really cant afford it now but i may try and swing it. i am going to some dates on the third leg for sure.

Well, I think somebody is just hoping Wayne is in town. If you see him, tell him to quite smoking! I saw him on the tube (MJs Charity Golf Classic) having a puff after his tee shot! I shit you not!

Does anyone heard ANYthing about the 4/24 Seattle or 4/28 Vancouver onsales???? I'm in a bit of a panic... since the only two shows I can go to on this leg aren't listed.

And does anyone have good info on how to buy European tickets? I don't see them at Ticketmaster anywhere. (I'm specifically looking for Nice (8/5) or Paris (7/9)

I sware, every time I have to deal with Ticketmaster for any event it takes a year or two off my life... :yikes: :sigh:

Hopefully they come by here for the Third Leg, or add some dates to the first. Hope to see you there, and even more importantly, I hope they come by.

Hey do you guys think that U2 will head to Miami as an additional date in the 1st leg? I don't mind waiting till the third leg though. The third leg seems more probable. They are not coming anywhere near here in the 1st leg.

Do you know where U2 were playing on April 12th, 1987? I do. They were playing in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the Pan American Center. I see that you live in New Mexico, so they have played your state once.

Sorry to be technical, just informing in case you didn't know.

They do three legs.

I do have to say I wish people would live Edge alone and quit speculating, contemplating, discussing, that the guy and/or his family are having issues. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

What the f*ck Chuck? How can they not play New York, Miami, or Las Vegas?

I'm only a little concerned, I do expect them to play it after the Europe dates.

And I wait.....for you.....

There must be speculation about the third leg dates....does anyone know anything. I haven't been able to get any tickets, and i'm really champing at the bit....I heard that the dates might be announced in March...has anyone else heard this?

OK. I obviously need this S P E L L E D O U T. Are you saying there will be THREE US TOURS?
America - 3/28 - 5/28
Europe - 6/10 - 8;14
America - 9/12 - 12/19 AND THEN ANOTHER ONE IN AMERICA?

Oh nooo!!!
Let the boys come back Europe..... .....much more dates for Spain, hehehehe

What about Japan & Australia??...I thought they will play there in the 3rd. leg, but now??

Please Paul McG., enlarge the tour for couple of years!!.....don't be lazy!!

They will be out here in Oz at the start of 2006.

Australia missed out on the Elevation Tour (I didn't as I was living in the UK then and got to see them a few times) which is why they are definately not missing this side of the world this time around.
