I was recently in Las Vegas where at the sportsbooks you can pretty much wager on everything from who will win the Super Bowl to who will win an Oscar Award.

I wanted to start a line as to whether or not the band will play One Tree Hill in its entirety in AUS / NZ.

Where the hell is the "Poll" option here? Hmmm...

Well let's say I gave you all $1000.00 USD How much of it would you place on:

1) U2 plays One Tree Hill in its entirety in New Zealand
2) U2 plays One Tree Hill in its entirety in Australia
3) U2 plays One Tree Hill in its entirety in New Zealand + Austrailia
4) U2 plays One Tree Hill as a snippet in New Zealand
5) U2 plays One Tree Hill as a snippet in Australia
6) U2 plays One Tree Hill as a snippet in New Zealand + Austrailia
7) U2 does not play One Tree Hill at all.

I am putting $700.00 on #1
I am putting $200.00 on #3
I am putting $100.00 on #6

I will not bet on #7 as I am too optimistic they will play this song...

I would say 4 has the best odds. Also, you need to define entirety. Do you mean full band or acoustic? I think an acoustic version in its entirety or near entirety is possible. I think odds are against a full band version being done though with the sequencer and Edge on electric guitar.

You know they already snippeted it in Oakland on this tour right? It was the night they decided they were going down under. So I think at least a snippet is fairly likely. Full band, doubtful.

If anything, they might as well play One Tree Hill as a snippet. If they closed with "All I Want Is You" they'd probably include on there...

I will bet on no.1. I didnt think it would come up before the start of this leg, but seeing the way the setlist has changed recently, I think it willl come up.

#2 and #5 are entirely illogical, so ...

1. $200
3. $50
4. $500
6. $50
7. $200

Put some odds out there and I'll tell you where I'll put the $1000. That would dictate where I put my money. Without odds, I'd take #4.

So, who do I paypal my bets to? This is for real right?

Should we let Janet Gretzky in on this? I hope Rick Tocchett isn't the ring leader here.

Considering that I saw them snippet it in Oakland, I'd assume they would at least do that in New Zealand as well. I really don't feel that they'll attempt to get the entire song down or anything before they arrive in NZ.

Have the odds been pulled off the board yet?? Now that they've played Mothers of the Disappeared, anything is possible!!!!

I've changed my mind completely, they'll do an accoustic version but I wouldn't rule out a full band version either.

I'll put a grand on number 7.

(let's hope edge does his one tree hill solo as well)
