During the 1st and 3rd leg of the tour, most of the setlist did not change, except for the encores...

The setlist was mainly this:

City Of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
Elevation
[NEW SONG]
The Electric Co. / Gloria / Cat Dubh
[NEW SONG]
Beautiful Day
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Miracle Drug / Original Of The Species
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own

Stuck In A Moment / Yahweh

Love And Peace Or Else
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bullet The Blue Sky
Miss Sarajevo / Running To Standstill
Pride
Streets
One

Encore(s)

Zoo Station / Until The End Of The World
The Fly / Mysterious Ways
The First Time / Walk On
Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses / Fast Cars

With Or Without You

All Because Of You
-Crumbs From Your Table
Yahweh
Vertigo / 40

The setlist can become very predictable, and by throwing in say, 4 new songs a night, it's a good change. But it seems, whenever they played multiple nights the setlist's blocks, never really were switched up, or did the 3rd leg ever have any other opener (in America) than COBL...

This could be solved by the following setlist:

Vertigo
I Will Follow
Gloria
Elevation
All Because Of You
Beautiful Day
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Bad
City Of Blinding Lights
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
Fast Cars
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Love And Peace Or Else
Bullet The Blue Sky
Miss Sarajevo
Where The Streets Have No Name

Until The End Of The World
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
With Or Without You

Crumbs From Your Table
One
Yahweh
40

It looks better, and there's never a real strain of new songs continously in a row being played. It varies it up with some acoustic songs in the main set, and the segue/transition of songs is better.

Sorry if I completely missed your point....but if I read this correctly, the solution to stale setlists is to use the *one* setlist you picked? I'm confused.

Yeah, I don't really understand either. :der:

I've said this before but you've got to understand that we are looking at the setlists from a completely different perspective...either we've been to more than one show or we are following the setlists on a daily basis and WE become bored with it.

What about the guy in Hawaii that LOVE the standard setlist and was really looking forward to it??? Think they are going to change because us junkies want to see a different set of songs???

Haven't you created like 200 setlist posts already?

Yes but that doesn't mean that I think they'll ever play one that I come up with...that is just for fun. But to complain that they don't mix it up more because you've been to 9 shows is a little selfish.

they'll play to the fan who can afford to buy one set of tickets to see a show.

I'd be happy with what I can get

If you want to go to 9 shows or whatever, go for it, but don't be pissed if you hear most of the same songs 9 times.
