I agree with most of the songs you think U2 would bring back like EBTTRT and 11OCTT. Think it’s very difficult to end the LAPOE (or NYD)-SBS-BTBS so I don’t think they will. I really hope they bring The Boss to the stage to play with them. It would be pretty cool of they played New York for the last show too! The Ramones are from NYC so it would kick ass if they played Beat On The Brat to end the final show since they would not be able to play Vertigo again cause it was played to start the first encore not the show. These set lists are a mix of what I think it will happen and what I wish it would happen.

actually there are gonna be 7 NYC shows, including the 2 in November. I'm goin to two shows: NYC 2, and NYC 3 OR 6. Usuallly when U2 play more then 2 shows in a venue, they have the make the setlist of the last show the most exciting. I'm hoping that they make all the setlists unique and exciting. seriously, they should change the setlist every single night, and they should have the Edge make the setlist every night. i bet he would enjoy doing it too.

Yes, I know there's two at a totally later date. That's beside the point, seeing those two shows are probably now stuck with fairly standard sets as they're left out of the main slab of shows. I figured I'd just setlist the run of five that'll be exciting.

unfortunately axver, I think your original post is accurate, except for crumbs; they're not gonna play it.

I say unfortunately because reading those setlists, they all seem pretty much the same to me.

I don't know, JOFO...from what I can see, it's probably about as shaken up as U2's gonna get (and that's fine w/ me!) You've got, what, 39 different songs, 4 different openers, 5 new songs for the tour (Crumbs, Please, 11 O'Clock, Electrical Storm, EBTTRT) another 3 that weren't played at all on the first leg (AIWY, Miss Sarajevo, and IWF)...not to mention several that were only played a few times on the tour (OOC, WGRYWH, UTEOTW)...I don't know what more you would expect. Besides, if you're only going to one show, they're all going to be new to you, right? It's not as if you're going to 3 in row and you'll potentially hear the exact same set all three nights (as has happened in Europe...though I'm sure for the folks that are only going to one of those shows, they have few or no complaints). Don't get me wrong, I would love lots of changes for every show, lots of old songs dusted off (how great would Seconds be?), and premieres of new songs like Crumbs, Fast Cars, etc...However, I don't think these setlists are anything to sneeze at. I'm going to three shows, and I'd be more than happy with that amount of variation. 37 different songs would be A-OK w/ me!

ETA: I don't necessarily think Crumbs will be a staple on the next leg, but I would be pretty surprised if it doesn't show up at least once (likely somewhere in the 5 shows at MSG)...It has been rehearsed/sound checked, correct? I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I'd be pretty surprised if it wasn't played at all.

I still kept the rarities of this tour, rare: Bad appears once, Gloria appears once, Still Haven't Found appears once, I Will Follow appears once, Out of Control appears twice. I expected real crazy setlists changes and some different songs play. Got none of that...just a shorter setlist instead.

im not 100% sure that night 5 will be the shocker in nyc..i went to all three boston shows, and by far night two saw the most shaken up setlist...(oots, out of control, wowy, bad, uteotw...all not played very often)...night three only had wild horses, party girl, and the return of nyd (which had disappeared for a bit) as surprises....but all of the boston shows were great anyway...hmm, maybe ill take a shot and go to ny for a show in the fall

Yeah, I wouldn't bet on night 5 being the shakeup, I'd reckon show 3 and/or 4 will be the unusual one(s). Also, I wouldn't count on hearing New York (the song) either, it's retired for now...it's not like they play Miami whenever they play in Miami...

Anyway, I like this thread seeing as I will be at NY 2,3,4,5.

I had high hopes too, especially as they had a couple of days off beforehand. However, there was a wrench thrown before those shows - Bono and I think somebody else, had to run home suddenly for a "family emergency" right before the shows, so instead of being well-rested and rehearsed they were very tired!
