Final Setlist Prediction
With the whole rumored songs stuff and rehearsed songs going on, I decided to do one last prediction of opening night. Bear in mind, U2 could throw a curve and do something completely different. But trying to keep in mind their 3 song average of the previous album in the set, doing the classics, and throwing in some rarities, I have ended on a setlist, that I think is quite reasonable.
__________________After this post, I have no more predictions or want to's on the list. It's the bands music, and we should let them pick what they do. But hey, this is fun, and while I'm not as setlist knowledgable as Axver, I do enjoy the idea of it and play around with it when I'm bored. Vertigo * All Because Of You I Will Follow The Fly City of Blinding Lights New Year's Day Lemon New York B-STAGE Miracle Drug Please ACOUSTIC Original of the Species Kite FULL BAND/MAIN STAGE Exit** Love and Peace or Else Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own*** Where The Streets Have No Name Pride (In the Name of Love) ENCORE 1 Zoo Station Beautiful Day Yahweh ENCORE II One**** 40 *-inclusion of verse/chorus of Stories for Boys and Wire riff that we keep hearing about **-end of Exit will blend in with opening of LAPOE ***-inclusion of riff and verse of "Bad" ****-full version with extra verse at end And, I am officially done with my setlist predicions and whatnot. Less than a week! ![]() |

I hope to God that never play PLEASE again.

In my own humble opinion PLEASE is one of the worst live U2 songs ever.
I might be in the minority here, but I have never been able to defend POP as a U2 album. Discotheque, MoFo, Staring At the Sun, are all great songs. GONE is a tremendous song, and I would LOVE to have them play it every night. Do You Feel Loved is a great dance track. Together they are fine singles, but as an album it's just weak. PLEASE is my least favorite. I find PLEASE to be...annoying. ![]() Again, this is my just my opinion (one which the some of the band shares). Sorry. ![]() ![]() |
