U2 Can Get the New Album in November (Irish Post)
THE next U2 album will be released this year, according to the band's manager Paul McGuinness. He said the eagerly-awaited follow-up to All That You Can't Leave Behind will hit the shops in November. But he played down speculation that the band would embark on another huge stadium world tour.
He said: "In the case of U2, it's more a function of what kind of music they want to do, rather than what kind of box-office gross they want to achieve. "Certainly playing indoors is much easier, and the logistics are
much more controlled. "If you're going to take the audience to a big outdoor event, you'd really have to be doing something very, very good, and we would take hat responsibility very seriously. "If we decide to go outdoors, it will be because it's worth doing something on a grand scale."

U2 Diagnosed with Vertigo for New Album?
New domain registrations may suggest upcoming album title

@U2, June 29, 2004

by Matt McGee

If history is any indication, U2's next studio album might be named
Vertigo.

The evidence suggesting the album title comes in the form of two
domain names which were registered last week, U2vertigo.com and
U2vertigo.net. The domains were registered June 22nd by a James Cooke
of Dublin, and both domains point to nameservers at Digital:CC --
that's the Dublin-based web and multimedia production company co-owned
by Adam Clayton's brother, Sebastian. Cooke is listed as the contact
person for Digital:CC at the company's listing at CreativeIreland.com.

Contacted this week by @U2, Regine Moylett, U2's publicity director in
London, didn't confirm or deny if Vertigo was the new album name, or
one of the names being considered. She did tell @U2 the album name is
"not yet known."

History suggests, however, that Vertigo may be one of the names being
considered for the new album.

In the summer of 2000, just months before the release of All That You
Can't Leave Behind, Digital:CC registered more than a dozen names that
referenced U2-related phrases. (See our August 11, 2000, story.) The
first names they registered were U2allthatyoucantleavebehind.com and
allthatyoucantleavebehind.com. And much like the recent registration of
U2vertigo.com, these older names were also registered by the same James
Cooke of Digital:CC. Compare here:

Domain: U2vertigo.com
Domain: U2allthatyoucantleavebehind.com

As far as we know, U2vertigo.com and U2vertigo.net are the only domain
names to be registered that may be related to the new U2 album.
However, it's very possible that other names we're not aware of have
also been registered, and that the Vertigo domain names have nothing at
all to do with the album. But we think history suggests otherwise, and
we'll continue to seek confirmation and further information about the
name of the next U2 album.

? @U2/McGee, 2004.

There was first showing of vertigo last sunday in Croatia and i believe that everything is great except for bono's hair.
He looks like a chic :lmao:

1.I read all posts for this topic, and i'm sad because you(so called fans) expect something new, something better and expect that U2 are going to make every thing like you wanted. I'm sorry about the fact that i forgot his name, one fan said something like this on, i believe, 4. page in a long post and he was completely right; i agree with you. Part of beeing a fan isn't to predict what are they going to make but waiting for it and then, i repeat then, you say what you thing. All of a sudden, you are all smarter than Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry, and like you know what's best for new album. Nobody knows it, except them. It's up to you, either you're going to like it or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2.About my last post on this topic, it's wrong. In Croatia, they showed it, but i saw different version of Vertigo video on vh1 and mtv. So it is my believe that they showed a wrong video, or that u2 made 2 different versions of Vertigo video. Version on vh1 is great!!! :D  :applaud:

Sorry if it's too long, but i just had to say it.

i am soooo glad that the boys are still going strong and releasing another album. no doubt it will be as outstanding as all the others. i was glad that my brother gave me his copy of "boy" when i was 10. now 24 years later have everything that you can possibly get in australia. cant wait for them to tour again, hopefully i can get to at least one show, i suppose my daughter, 3, wont mind sleeping at grandad's!
