the search feature

now when you search for something, you just get every thread in which your search criteria matched

but lets say you want to find something that was posted in a long thread, you have to go through the whole thread to find the match

is there anyway for the individual post to be returned rather then the whole thread?

You can search by username, and it will only bring up that users posts.

Other than that I'm stumped

ooh yes

when you go to search, look at the bottom where it says "search options." click "show results as posts."

it'll show you all the info just like if you search by user: who posted it, the subject line, and a preview of their post. it also contains a link to the individual post.
