Are there any regular events for/by bay area fans? There must be thousands of long-time u2 freaks out here, beyond the few I already know.

I thought I was the only one. I just moved to San Francisco. We should gather all the U2 fans we know here and have a U2/Interference.com meeting.

good idea, elvis-U2 have been coming to the bay area since 1980, so there are lots of us out here. The three of us could start e-mail lists to notify each other of gatherings and developements-ideally we could set-up a ticket buying circle for the next tour, amongst other things.

that's where a person buys as many tickets as possible, their friends do the same, and then they share the extras with each other as needed.If enough people do this, it keeps quite a few tickets out of the hands of scalpers, and allows more die-hards to go to the show(s).Deadheads were passed masters at this technique.
