Hope some you can make it. Wait until you hear the opening of Where The Streets Have No Name on the largest Rosales pipe organ on the West Coast. It's an original liturgy using imagery and words from U2 and MLK. For instance, here's the Lord's Prayer:

Heavenly Father, heavenly Mother,
Your name is the sweetest thing. It is sacred.
We pray for your beautiful days of peace to come,
We pray that your goodwill be done,
Let heaven and earth coexist.
Give us this day the bread we need,
Give it to those who have none.
Let forgiveness flow like a river between us,
From each one to each one, arms entwined.
Lead us to holy innocence
Beyond the evil of our days, running from the darkness in the night —
Come swiftly Mother, Father, come.
Lift my days, light up my nights
Only love can leave such a mark.
For yours is the power and the glory and the mercy:

In honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., join Trinity for a U2charist on the Saturday after MLK Day to help fight hunger in our community.

Set to the music of the Irish rock band U2, which has written several popular songs about the fallen civil rights leader, the alternative liturgy will feature Trinity's multi-generational Alt.Liturgies Band, as well as the words of MLK and a multimedia tribute.

The free will offering will benefit Trinity's Hunger Ministries, which fed nearly 20,000 people last year. The need has never been greater.
