All Twitter Discussion

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
There was a virus on twitter, they got hit twice. I think before all you had to do was change your password. Most people end up becoming bots posting about how they've lost weigh thanks to Acai berries or some such thing.

Which reminds me, I've forgotten mine. :uhoh: I knew there was a downside to autosign in.

:hmm: I wonder if that explains why Tweet Deck is so screwed up for me.

To each their own but it's not my cuppa tea for having one for myself. On FB I have my wall off and never do status reports. I found I had too many friends pissing around on my wall like this one time that this friend I knew harshly berated me for being a Hillary supporter instead of Obama, and I'm not even American. She's was removed forthwith.

The only thing on Twitter I'll check into seeing is this.........

Elvis Presley (GracelandNews) on Twitter

I just signed up yesterday, so I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. You guys can follow me if you want though :sexywink: Just let me know who you are from here if you do. It's the same name as my username here (u2shamrock)

I have one, but don't really use it. I'll have to get back on what my username is

I got Twitter too. Its on my phone too so I might use it for the setlist parties for my shows :D

I have people adding me but I have no clue who they are!! Introduce yourselves please.

same here :crack: I have tons now that I don't know if they are you folks or bots. I'm trying to identify the U2 fans from the spam ( ), but if I accidentally block one of you please post here and I'll add you back. Sorry!

I recently signed up too:huh:

I am not sure how it works can other people just see what I type they cannot really respond right?

you can respond directly to people (if you hover over to the right an arrow will appear and your response will be directed to that tweet) it will still be public for all to see but it will be directed to that person. If you want to keep it private then use the Direct Messages link on the right bar.

Or in the message bar put a D infront of the person's @twittername and the message will go directly to that person only.

Diddy hosted a 4th of July White party and he and Ashtun Kutcher had live feeds set up to the party, that was kind of fun. They were also raising awareness and money for their malaria no more organization.

So U2 is now on Twitter...

 hi Edge

I recently signed up before the tour so that I could follow the tweets from the shows (for setlist parties, etc.). I got an email that someone added me. I didn't recognize the name, so I clicked to see further info, and I believe it was possibly some sort of porn site :yikes:

Actually I've noticed lately that Twitter does a pretty good job of finding it and deleting the accounts pretty quickly. Lately I haven't had any new spam and the few times I do, by the time I go there to block it, I find that Twitter has already deleted the account. :hmm:

Edge has been tweeting under @U2_360Tour and he's quite funny!

Twitter's great but you do have to be careful for the spamming.

va02 is my twitter. I just txt in random crap that bodes no relevenace at all.

I have it, and I use it to follow a handful of interesting people from the worlds of entertainment, news and politics, but I don't really post or solicit followers. I doubt that anyone gives a rat's ass that I'm going to the mall or cleaning out my cat's litter boxes. No one needs to be privy to the minutiae of my life, and I wouldn't inflict that upon anyone.

I'm actually enjoying the following part of it more than I thought I would, though. It's a great way to stay current with what you're interested in.
