U2 in Talks for Brit Awards

Chris Evans has been unveiled as the host of the Brit Awards.

It's going to be held at London's Earls Court on February 9th and 'Band Aid 20' organiser Sir Bob Geldof will get an award for his Outstanding Contribution to Music.

Performers are being kept under wraps until the last minute but Chris couldn't help blurting out this cracker:

"I'm not being flash but I have met a lot of them before, but I can't wait to see them again."

"That's another reason I did it - because there are a few people I've not seen for ages."

"I can't wait to see Bono, The Edge and the rest of the band (U2) because they're such a good band and they've got such a good vibe, but their feet are so on the ground that it's not funny."

"I don't get U2, because they are just so sorted."

However, Chris may have got a bit ahead of himself there as the organisers tell us U2 haven't confirmed yet although talks are underway.
