VERTIGO to play New Zealand


U2 return to New Zealand after twelve years. U2.com can announce that U2 will play one show at Auckland's Ericcson Stadium on March 17. U2 last played New Zealand on December 04, 1993 at Western Springs in Auckland.

You would think so...I'm pretty sure a second date SHOULD go on sale too.

I mean they haven't been to New Zealand since 93 and only playing 1 show?, I guess it'll depend on ticket sales.

they'll almost certainly play another date, you can't just play one after 12-13 years!! I'm sure ticket sales will take care of that.

Remember, everywhere else on the tour started out as one date. Even the fall leg of the USA tour. I'm sure they've got 2nd and maybe 3rd nights space reserved, they just don't want to give the scalpers a head start. Besides...after a great St Pat's Day show, they have to comeback for more, right?
