Morleigh Steinberg Film Part of Kerry Festival

"Height of Sky," a recent film by Morleigh Steinberg, will be shown at the Kerry Film Festival, this Friday night in Tralee, Ireland. The 75-minute film, showcasing the work of Butoh dancer Oguri, is part of the festival's Dance in Film program.

The film is described as:

"Height of Sky" is a documentary about the extraordinary vision and commitment of one man’s quest to rediscover his dance in the California deserts. Having never seen the desert before, Japanese born, renowned Butoh dancer, Oguri, embarked on a two year dance investigation of his relationship to this new environment and his own identity as a Japanese dancer in America.

The Dance in Film program will show in the Siamsa Tire Theatre,
Tralee on Friday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. Admission is €6.

On Saturday, Oct. 23, BP Fallon will be presenting his Death Disco at the festival. The event will take place at The Greyhound Bar, Tralee from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and admission is €10.
