Vertigo has achieved the No.1 slot in all four iTunes stores - UK, US, France and Germany.

In the UK, where the single is still holding the top spot, Vertigo is the biggest selling download since the launch of the official download chart.

That may explain the high chart position on the Billboard single's chart. A #46 debut is unheard of in U2's history, so being the number one download across the globe must be helping the band.
