Clear Channel Reimburses Italian Concertgoers
Interference.com member Valentina has passed along the following information from the Italian press regarding U2's San Siro concerts this summer where fans in certain sections of the arena could not hear the show:
An arrangement was reached between Clear Channel, the organizer of the U2 concert in Milan, and Codacons, which represented the 1,500 concert goers that were obliged to change their places from second ring of Stadium San Siro.
Clear Channel will pay 9 Euro to every fan. "It's just a small sum, but it is very important," said Marco Maria Donizelli, Chief of Codacons. "It is the first time that in Italy the audience is given some money back. Usually, money is given back if the concert is cancelled, but never for a damage. We consider the sum correct, also because the fan could attend the show, anyway."
