Vote U2 at the Q Awards

Q magazine has unveiled the nominees for its 2006 Q Awards. The categories are Best New Act, Best Live Act, Best Track, Best Album and Best Act in the World Today. U2 certainly qualifies for at least two of those categories.

The Q Awards will be given out in London on Oct. 30.

How many times fans must vote for U2 for the same old categories?

They haven't released a new album in 2 years, they haven't tour since early 2006 and they still are nominated for those categories?

That's just a proof about how corrupted is today's music industry

The "Best new act" category is just pathetic to say the least

The "Best new act" category is just pathetic to say the least

Fans fill in the nominations so everything is completely open. U2 did (and will) tour this year and is an act in the world so would be eligible in either of those categories. The band could possibly also qualify for song since "Original of the Species" was released as a single late last year, depending on what parameters Q is using for this.

These categories aren't created for U2,
you can fill in which band you think is the best newcomer, as well as you can fill in into the other categories your preferred band or singer. It's totally open and not created for U2.
