Former U2 stylist ordered to pay costs

Former U2 stylist Lola Cashman, who was ordered by the Circuit Court to return memorabilia to rock band U2, has had the costs of the case awarded against her.

Sources suggest that the legal costs could run into tens of thousands of euro.

Counsel for Ms Cashman said today he was not going to oppose the application for costs. He said his client had lodged an appeal and she would be pursuing that.

He did say that as a result of the case, she is already financially impoverished.

Neither Ms Cashman nor any of the U2 band members were in the Dublin Circuit Civil Court for the brief hearing this morning.

I disagree.....what she did was wrong. I made the mistake of buying her book and it was one of the worst trashy books I have ever read. I am glad I bought it used. I threw it in the trash, it is just another one of those sad stories of someone trying to cash in on another's fame and fortune. What goes around comes around I always say and wholeheartedly believe!
